CDT Product Launch

Top Hex is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new laboratory product - a Cathodic Disbondment tester.

Although you may not have heard of Cathodic Disbondment Testing, we are all dependent on it. Oil and gas pipelines are frequently sunk deep underground or at the bottom of the ocean. A protective barrier coating is applied to the pipeline to protect against the corrosive environment. A Cathodic Disbondment Tester is used in the laboratory to test the effectiveness of these different Cathodic protective coatings.

The Top Hex Cathodic Disbondment allows up to 16 independent tests to be carried out concurrently. The test can be carried out in a constant current mode, or the applied voltage can be modulated from a calomel electrode input. Test data is periodically logged to internal non-volatile memory which can either be viewed from the in-built display or using our CDT PC application.
